There are parks in the United States and then there is Grant Park Chicago! Come rain or shine, this is a popular place where Chicagoans, sightseers and visitors spend there time. This park can be enjoyed anytime of the year with different activities going on in the summer as well as the winter.

Grant Park Chicago grounds are just lovely. It’s a place to go where you can just let your hair down and relax.

Located on these grounds are Adler Planetarium, Field Museum of Natural History, and Shedd Aquarium. In close proximity there is Millennium Park Chicago.
Grant Park was created in the 1800’s as a no build zone in front of Lake Michigan. In 1901, Chicago transferred the park to the South Park Commission. It was named for Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885) the 18th President of the United States.
The park is over 300 acres and is between the downtown Chicago loop and Lake Michigan.
It is the home to beautiful Buckingham fountain.
The Chicago’s Museum Campus is a 57 acre park addition to this park.
This park is known as Chicago’s front yard.
Everyone enjoys the views of this fountain and the famous status of Abraham Lincoln.
This park hosts the Taste of Chicago which is one of the countries largest outdoor festival.
It’s also the location for Lollapalooza, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in August 2011. Lollapalozza is an outdoor music festival which host 130 bands from around the world.
People gather by the thousands at this park on a yearly basis for numerous events.
Grant Park also hosts many other outdoor events, concerts and activities.
In the summer time things are hopping in this park. There are beautiful flowers and plants everywhere to enjoy and take a stroll in this lovely park.
Kids and adults alike love to come here and run around, sight see and feel free.
It’s a frequent spot to visit as they have so many things going on in the lakefront park.

In the winter time you can come to the park to Ice Skate if you are interested in enjoying this park in all seasons!
